Actually when i was there i wanted to win the assclown contest, it was more fun, too bad i wasn't subtle about it, people saw through me and stopped voting for me lol
LOL yeah it's a fun contest. I just want to win a match, I think I'm like 0-5 or something. Pretty WOAT record.
I had a SF run in 2018 but that was the peak of my ability: too much effort invested into too blatant trolling. I mean sane people like you and me should never have a chance to go deep there, the genuine lunatics like Chico or Tribal are much more worthy winners. BTW @Nekro - what was your nick on MTF?

I don't know what happened over there but the way it came across was he was demodded for posting on another site, that wasn't clear on your part. Anyway fair enough. All I can really judge slasher on is what I've seen from MTF and he does seem like a bit of a control freak and can get easily offended when someone offers constructive criticism over his rankings site.
lol he also threw a hissy fit when Leng Jai beat him at the popcon, he took back his nomination for Leng Jai in the next round and was ranting and whining for 2 days, he was talking about buying mtf and all kinds of crap, Leng Jai was quoting his rants for years, they were epic.... Guy is an egomaniac, can't accept being popular is not one of his strengths, maybe cause he's a control freak as you said, and a sadist as Yoda said, just be realistic, it's hard to be cooler than Leng Jai, i wouldn't even try lol.... Actually when i was there i wanted to win the assclown contest, it was more fun, too bad i wasn't subtle about it, people saw through me and stopped voting for me lol [/quote] Sounds pretty epic, I think all that happened before I joined but that sounds like the sort of **** he'd pull. He's threatened to walk out several times. I remember Yoda was permabanned and VS allowed him back after Yoda went to VS about getting back, slasher had a meltdown over it and threatened to quit if he wasn't banned, which he was. I haven't really had much interaction with slasher but his character comes across as arrogant for sure.

And if you think Slasher and his rankings would bring more traffic to you, no they wouldn't, they didn't bring more traffic to t4u, they didn't bring more traffic to CD's site, they didn't bring more traffic to tennisfrontier, his rankings were deleted from there too, there are better live rankings sites than his one and Slasher is the perfect anti-fun person.
Yeah I never implied it brought traffic or I wanted it here, I slasher gave up on it anyway and ditched it after a few people gave it constructive critism, he threw his toys out the pram. He's basically left MTF now and apparently has a job with the ATP from what I hear.

Well it isn’t as good as it seems by the figures here. We just lag 2-3 weeks behind Italy and that’s the reason the numbers are low atm. Our national health system is a big mess. There are too few hospitals, they are heavily underinvested, lack proper equipment and stuff especially nurses are not salaried enough for their hard work. Also, many nurses and doctors emigrated to the Western countries some time ago (now after Brexit some of them came back). So I fully expect the things to get much worse here in a few weeks like in Italy, hopefully I’m wrong.
Yeah, the Chinese have coped well with the virus and I think the main reason for this is they are a communist country where people are very disciplined and the party can force the citizens to implement a full lockdown of the most infected areas. Have you seen a movie from Wuhan on YT - it looks like a complete ghost town for over a month now.
Yes, I’m not really into conspiracy theories, but one might think coronavorus is a Chinese trojan horse. But the economic consequences will be huge for the entire globalized world. Much worse than the financial crisis from 2008. Oil prices are down by 30%, the lowest level since 1991, stock markets are collapsing, travel companies, airlines, events, both demand and supply chains will be hit, only TV ratings will sky rocket cause people will sit at homes. It’s pretty scary, the only hope is they will work out a vaccine soon but I’ve been hearing it’s at least 9 months to a year before it could be used on a massive scale.
Yeah it looks like hospitals are going to be stretched all over the world in most countries. The way you've put it it sounds pretty bleak, but that's the reality we're all facing sadly. I reckon it'll peak in the next few weeks. I've seen some of the conspiracy theories, one of them was that the UK and US planned the whole thing to make money off the vaccine. Which I could get on board with if it wasn't for the fact that both countries are run by idiots that couldn't even carry out or even think of such a plan. Its definitely concerning. Its not bad in the city where I am, yet, but people are definitely panic buying, some shops have empty shelves. All we can do is hope it gets better soon.

]He wasn't demodded simply for posting on another site, he literally destroyed traffic and ruined the fun on tennis4you, he didn't let us post what we wanted to, he was bullying us and hogging the site lol. After he was demodded life returned to t4u.
EDIT: To be more specific, he started moderating us according to mtf rules which is ridiculous, not only that, he was even bending the mtf rules which didn't exist on t4u in the first place to bully people, the only reason he got away with it for months is that Scott was a busy person, when i reported all the horseshit that he was doing to Scott he wrecked Slasher in a sec.

Do people panic a lot in Britain? It's been pretty calm here so far but we are like 2 weeks behind you and 3 weeks behind Italy...
It's constantly on the news. The city i live in it's not too bad, there's only been 1 case within 60 miles, but i expect that to change sadly, the country as a whole is starting to get a bit worried because the NHS is stretched as it is, nurses and doctors are the lowest it's been in years, and same goes for beds as well. They were saying on the news that Germany and France have 8 beds per 1000 people, UK in comparison has 2, the NHS is at breaking point, were threatening strike at one point if our clown PM sold the NHS to Trump, so even before this caronavirus happened the NHS was in crisis, it's simply not going to cope with what's about to come in the next month.
You guys seem to be handling it pretty well for a big country in mainland Europe, compared to Germany, Italy France and Spain. The ironic thing is that the country that started this whole thing seems to have this caronavisus under control now while it's only getting worse in Europe. I expect it to keep getting worse sadly. I think it wont be until at least June or Jult until most European countries have control of this Virus,

We have over 100 confirmed cases now, generally clustered around a few suburbs in northwestern Sydney and south-western Sydney.
Issue as you say is stretched health resources. Australians are generally confused about what to do. Doctors don't always have test kits available or a set up isolated space to do it. Hospitals then have a huge line up.

CD's Camelot is pure cancer, and yes, that dark style is ugly.... TD has a dark style which is nice and much nicer than mtf's one, bottom left at the brush icon where it says "default" style you can check it. I will at some point The problem is that until mtf goes down i don't expect a big influx of people on other forums, they're used to going to mtf and that's it, CD, when his site was still a tennis site, was very pissed about it, he also deadmined Slasher and Freaky and deleted Slasher's rankings section because they spent more time on mtf... Yeah that was very petty of CD to do that. The way i see it most people on here, including myself will spend most time on MTF because it's the most active site in terms of tennis discussion. That said i think you're right about not being a big influx of people on other forums, i think at the end of the day some people are just too comfortable on MTF and are just happy posting there, which is fine. Although for me I've always been more open-minded and checked other forums, even before i joined MTF in 2014 i was checking out other forums for tennis gossip, i think it's good to get different views from other forums as well. For me personally I've been a tennis fan since the 90s and will always enjoy taking about the sport whether MTF is there or not. When i showed to Scott Slasher was admin on mtf and was spamming there nonstop while not posting on t4u at all Scott also demodded slasher and deleted his rankings, didn't give a monkey's about the precious live rankings lol... Scott hated mtf even more than me, they deleted his account just because he owned t4u and they considered it a rival site lol
Nathii was pop queen, she was also very very popular but only around 10-20 mtf people moved to her site, She closed the site too. I mean i don't blame slasher at all for spamming MTF. He had a rankings site he wanted to promote and MTF has the most traffic, it's only logical he would post there more, he shouldn't have been demodded simply for posting on another site, that's very petty behavior. It definitely is very tough building a forum. I was on the advertising thread on the site forum last night and checked out most of the forums and the majority of them had less than 5 members, there's 11 here so far but that seems to be on the higher end of things, still early days here of course Also, imagine mtf goes down at last and let's say some kid makes a forum for 30- people, buddyholly makes one for 60+ people, people will just go in all the directions of the compass, it's not easy getting people on the same board.... That's another reason i created this forum, in case MTF goes down hopefully enough people know about this place and come here as an alternative instead of lots of people starting there own forum, i figured i'd get a head start on everyone else by creating AET Well, I don't care as long as the morning chat is alive with Mimi. also, i won't spam too much here cause i don't want to scare the young uns away, you know i'm a big rambler and i could post in all my free time, anyway, if you guys have questions about the history of tennis forums and old times i'll be around. Even though according to Time Violation i know nothing because when he started sneaking around on t4u with a previously dormant account i thought for a day or 2 that he was sham kay
lol. Everyone on here is pretty chilled out. It's a very good atmosphere on here, and more importantly no Chinese spammed threads to look at
